mga techie.... ano maurag gamiton para sa audi sampling... dai kaya ko sure kung ano maurag na equiptment sa rolands na may 8 track na pwede na para makagibo nin digital effect audio sampling .... hay dai ko ngani aram kung ano ining pigta type ko.... heheheheh .... suggestion please .... thanks

ang medyas...instead of using a foam microphone sock na sobrang mahal na makahanap ng quality na foam + thickness for the sound, use your cotton socks nalang.. thickness varies with socks thickness (and how many socks you use).. sounds funny?only if your socks smell bad, but it works! and it helps with low budget/no budget home recording..

igwa akong USB audio interface. pero most of the time sinasaksak ko directa ang guitara sa pc, line in. kung gusto mo na warang latency, install mo ang "asio4all" sa pc mo, tapoz set mo ang setting sa "asio". maski wara kang interface maung latency,

note: mas ok kung dakul ang memory mo mga 1gig ayos na.

Home recording equipments is the hottest stuff i'm selling . Before I came back to Philippines last year 2008.

Regarding what software is the best for home recording?

There is no best software for recording.......

What I can share with you is very simple.

Use a software that you are very familiar with, in home recording.

The familiarity with the softwares gives you edges on good refinement of your music.

It would be very easy for you to record, edit and polish your music.

Once you master the software, try to explore new softwares. learn and explore.

I'm attaching basics remixing/editing styles that i hope will help to newbies.

Remix Production with "Q" Quality (Basic for Beginners)

I noticed that most of most of the music I downloaded have missed their refinement in AUDIO QUALITY.

There are 2 ways where the process went wrong
1. Pre post production
2. The uploader you are using (bit rate.)

The First thing to do when remixing or even recording live application is to get the normal/standard sound reference (Standard sound reference are studio monitors / without using EQ). Use a familiar monitor to your ears.

Find the best sound of the tracks without using first equalization.

Start laying in your samples, instruments and other efx on each track.

Listen closely to your individual track or samples. It should sound normal first. also listen to the material you are using. Should not be distorted.

Apply EQ on tracks that needs to be equalized. never apply EQ to track just to exagerate the quality.

Start mixing the individual tracks together and always listen closely on glitches that will give you a bad sound on Mix down. And adjust little by little the individual track EQ or EFX to attain the best quality.

Listen very closely, specially on bass Q.

In MIX DOWN (Mix Down is the single collaboration track of all the individual track)
Before doing so a mix down. Check the output level of all the tracks it should be
(-15 to -5 db).

This setting (-15 to -5 db) gives you a threshold not to exceed to distortion or overdrive. This doesn't sound very strong on your monitor. But it gives you the advantage or more room to refine the adjustments.

Once your set, make a mix down. Create several mix down of one version of your work so you can choose the best mix down.

Once you selected the best cut of your mix down. You can start uploading it on the net.

If you are uploading small amount of data (max of 100mb) use 256 to 320 bit rate. But if its too large above 100mb, use 192 bit rate.

Why 192? Coz the bigger the slower, the longer it stays uploading and downloading this data are a little bit corrupted and cause distortion.

If you want to upload bigger files (200mb) with 320kbps bitrate? Split it up into half.
It will help to attain faster upload and download time and avoid data corruption.

It's a little bit longer, But I hope this will help a little to newbies.

gamit ko ngonian pang recording "garage band" sa mac. madalion lang, pasilon lang pati gamiton. kaidtong pc pa si gamit ko, ang ginamit kong pang recording itong libreng version kang cubase na software.

on the topic of latency issues, if you use your interface as the default audio output, it makes it easier for your computer to process all the tracks. the only thing is you'll have to hook your head phones up to your interface in order to hear the output if your monitors are connected to your computer.
