On March 6, 2009, it was reported that Francis Magalona died at 12:00 noon due to acute myelogenous leukemia.

I had a chance to work with Francis aka "The Mouth" way back in 1996. He was an endorser of Head & Shoulders Shampoo back then and we did a radio commercial jingle entitled "Mr. Cool". He did the rapping and I laid in a slap bass track. He's a really cool guy to work with... Rest in Peace Mr. Cool. You'll surely be missed.
